KEEPIN' IT REAL with: Nicole Smith

We at Earn Purple, are going to be periodically sharing with you some of our customers that truly live the brand. We are calling these blog posts, "KEEPIN' IT REAL with ..."  Earn Purple is all about promoting hard work, dedication, integrity, sportsmanship, and enjoying every minute of it. These individuals have demonstrated the qualities of a true champion. We are excited to share them with you!

We asked Nicole Smith, of Bakersfield, CA. to share with us how she Earns Purple.

My name is Nicole Smith I’m 18 years old from Bakersfield, California. I was 9 years old when I first started my show career with market goats. A lot of years, and goats, have gone by since then. I’ve received a countless amount of support while showing, and I believe this is why my show career has been so successful.
I first won Grand Champion Market Goat, at the Kern County Fair, in 2004, then again in 2008, also winning Reserve Grand Champion in 2010. I have competed and won small, and large animal Round Robin, in 2007, and 2009. Skipping forward to the 2012 jackpot season: MJC Showmaster Classic: Reserve Champion Showman, Red Wave: Champion Showman, Champion Lightweight, Western Bonanza: Reserve Champion Showman, Champion Market, Overall Reserve Supreme Champion, Orange Blossom Klassic: Champion Showman, Champion Market, Monterey Bay Classic: Reserve Champion Showman, Pacific Coast: Champion Showman, Champion Market, and Surf ‘N’ Turf: Champion Showman, Champion Market.  After all that was said and done, I am currently standing number one in the “CJLA” showman points, and number one, in market points for my age division. It’s been an amazing jackpot season, and I’m so excited about the upcoming one!
Showing is my life; it’s what I love to do. Next year is my last, and unfortunately, I will be ageing out. Although, I am incredibly sad about this, I know there is plenty of young youth out there that I can mentor. My favorite quote , “Your greatness depends on your willingness to give it all you’ve got.” To me this tells of the hard work, and dedication it takes to be not only, a great showman, but a responsible honest person. These past years I’ve learned so much: made great memories, met new people, opened new doors with big opportunity’s, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from everyone.
What Nicole failed to mention in her achievements, was that she bred not only the Grand, and Reserve Goat, at Kern County this year, but the champions in all three weight divisions. You Go Girl!
Nicole is not only a hard working individual, but she has a great personality, and is super fun to be around. So don't be afraid to go talk to her at the next show!

Thank you Nicole, for letting us share your Bio!

Also, thank you everyone for reading!
Have a great day!
