Becoming Your Best You

I used to compare myself all the time to other people, who looked better? Who had better clothes?
Who got better grades? Who had better horses? Who had a better life? Who got done with tests faster? These are just a few of the comparisons I would torture myself with.

Everyone experiences this thinking at some point in their lives, and you might still be doing this right now. I'm hear to say give yourself a break! This kind of thinking gets us nowhere. We are all unique  individuals for a reason. If we had the same face, bodies, clothing, houses, cars, animals, thinking, personalities, creativity, goals, and dreams, this world would be a seriously monotonous place! I mean I don't know about you, but I love meeting new and different people, going to new places, finding new clothes, experiencing new food, setting new goals,  and having progressive passions.
Isn't that part of the beauty of life?

I have narrowed it down to some key tips to help you become the best version of yourself and stop comparing yourself to others. You are on your own journey. Be excited!

Let others inspire you, but stay focused on your own progress

Others progress and success can be really inspiring and motivational. I read other people's blogs and success stories all the time. They help inspire and motivate me, and I love learning from others.
Just remember there's using others for inspiration, and using others to see how you measure up. Don't compare yourself, instead keep progress of your results on whatever you are working on. A notebook is great for this.

Appreciate, but don't rely on outside sources or peers for approval and validation

We all love trophy's, compliments, and reassurance, but don't rely on these things. Like Dr. Wayne Dyer says, "Knowing your self worth comes from believing you are worthy." Also knowing you are worthy and taking action every day towards your goals. You are earning it with your daily efforts.

Everyday focus on being a little better you than the day before

Take small steps everyday to improve yourself. Consistency is key. Pretty soon you will look back and see how far you've come!

Make it Happen

We cannot wait and expect things to happen. We have to go after what we want. We can't expect  our best to just one day happen on its own. So don't wait for the perfect timing, start now!

Do one thing daily to bring out the best in someone else

There is absolutely no better feeling then helping others, and bringing out the best in them. When we take the focus off ourselves we are able to see the beauty in ourselves and be thankful. "It's not how far you climb, its how many people you bring with you along the way."

Now that you have some tools, get to work on becoming the best you. Remember its not a sprint, we have our whole lives to become the best version of ourselves. So take your time and enjoy the ride!

I wish everyone an awesome weekend. Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate each and everyone of you. You help inspire me to become the best version of myself.

"Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow."
