Hi Friends,
So we have been getting a lot of questions about what Earn Purple represents and what we are about. So we thought we would do a blog to answer those questions.
First off the word PURPLE has some very powerful meanings.
Purple is the color of champions. In almost all competitions, the Grand Champion Winner receives a beautiful Purple Ribbon. That is the main idea surrounding the "Pursuit of Purple" mentality.
Here are also some of the meanings & representations:
1. Purple represents good judgement
2. Purple is rare in nature and therefore represents uniqueness
3. Purple is a mix of red & blue making it both a warm & cool color, it is the favorite color of most children
4. It is a calming color
5. Purple is the color of royalty symbolizing wealth, sophistication, and luxury
6. Independence
7. Spirituality
8. Imagination
9. Wisdom
10. The Color of magic because it hold so much energy
This is just a few of the things the color purple represents, but as you can see purple is a pretty significant color!
We chose the the word EARN because what we want to teach the youth and others is that earning your dreams and goals is so much more fulfilling than buying your way in, or having someone else do it for you. We at Earn Purple truly want to help society and the world by instilling good values in the youth, in turn making a better future for us all.
Our Mission STATEMENT:
Earn Purple is all about redefining the word Champion.
Earn Purple is all about supporting the individual that works hard at what they do. No matter what you are into, we endorse people that are about staying persistent and setting goals. Whether you're a livestock showman, chess pro, Pro or Non Pro freestyle Dirt Bike Rider, the label does not matter because if you have passion and will power for what you are trying to accomplish, Earn Purple is behind you 100%!
We at Earn Purple have a second mission and that is to bridge the huge gap between Agriculture and the rest of the world. There is even a gap with in Agriculture itself. Most almond farmers don't take interest in Cattle Ranchers, most hog farmers don't take notice of whats happening in the sheep market, and vice versa. The problem with this is when the Agriculture community doesn't ban together, its easy for the Government, regulators, or the rest of the world to pick them off individually.
For example the lack of education about hog confinements. Most of the public have not been educated (which by the way is not entirely their fault, because we haven't really educated them) think they are inhumane and terrible. They don't understand that the hogs have been bred to be housed that way for -the good of themselves and their babies. They also do not understand that to successfully supply the massive consumer base, efficiency is key , but to do so, herd health has to be of upmost importance.
The truth is, county fair entry numbers are dwindling year by year and if we keep segregating this program from the rest of society we will loose it forever.
Earn Purple is more of a movement, than a company. We want to make it known to kids that it is ok to set your own goals and EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS. Everyone is different, but we all reach a common ground when it comes to working hard to achieving a goal. If we raise more self reliant children, we make the world a more self reliant place to live.
That is what Earn Purple is all about!
Thank you for your time in reading this. Feel free to share and tell your friends and family about how they can make a change for the better by living by the Earn Purple mentality.
With Love,
Whitney and Jordan of Earn Purple
